Bill Lockwood: Why Do Christians Support Donald Trump? 0 (0)

by Bill Lockwood

Not presuming to speak for all Christians, I do, however, wish to offer a few observations regarding the general support of Donald J. Trump by Christians and Constitutionalists. This is timely seeing that so many on the socialistic/Democratic side of the political spectrum love to harangue Trump-supporting Christians about the past personal behavior of Trump. They seem to delight in pointing out his multiple marriages, his infidelities, his foul language, or other personal indiscretions, always with a view to shaming Christians for their support.

What Shall We Say to These Things?

First, no Christian of which I am aware excuses Trump’s personal sins. But this is a far cry from an elected official such as Bill Clinton using his powerful position as the chief executive to assault women in the oval office. On a broader scale, if an angry press would devote itself to scouring all public officials with the scrutiny they have applied to Donald Trump, I doubt there would be many officials to escape unscathed. So, what does this mean? Stop participating in the election process because those whom we elect have soiled lives? I suspect that is what the left really desires.

Second, I readily confess that the ideal is as stated by John Adams. “He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries the most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man.”

Thomas Jefferson agreed. “For promoting the public happiness, those persons whom nature has endowed with genius and virtue … should be able to guard the sacred deposit of the rights and liberties of their fellow citizens …” But where are we as a society?

It is needless to point out here that our entire culture for the past 75 years has been more reflective of Sodom and Gomorrah than the “shining city on a hill” that John Winthrop paraphrased from the words of our Savior. There is without question a deep-dyed wickedness in the populace that is corroding the nation’s soul. Finding a virtuous and godly person that will fill the position of a “natural aristocracy,” as Jefferson worded it, and willing to put themselves into the grinding mill of the political arena, is nearly an impossible task.

Third, with the above in mind, many Christians primarily have relied upon the simple principle of how best to secure our God-given liberties? Since the entire history of civilization is nothing but the story of suffering peoples at the hands of their own governments, which candidate will support the kinds of Constitutional principles that more positively reflect that? Or, more pointedly, do Donald Trump’s policies lessen the vice-grip of government, or do the Democratic policies? To ask the question is to answer it.

One must recognize that political power always, without fail, gravitates toward centralization and that this movement always erodes and destroys the liberty of people by removing the decision-making processes and transferring them to that central government. Christians therefore, have wisely resisted the growth of government. And it is only Donald J. Trump, even with his brass-knuckle less-than-genteel approach, who can drain the swamp that threatens to drown us all.

An Illustration

The Jews in the time of Christ did not enjoy even a modicum of the liberty that we now have as Christians in America. As a matter of fact, Israel’s sovereignty had been removed from the period of the Assyrian Empire in the Old Testament (8th century B.C.) and was never regained. The mighty Roman empire controlled Palestine during the birth of our Lord, and the Jewish people suffered beneath the local rule of one wicked Procurator after another.

So, when a Quirinius, the Legate of Syria (Luke 2:1-3), would order a census in Palestine with a view to taxation, the Jews submitted even though despising it. So also other governors of Syria such as Coponius, Marcus Ambivius, and Valerius Gratus, who followed Quirinius. Other various fiscal oppressions of a grievous sort were practiced by Romans against the Jewish people. All of these the Jews loathed, but tolerated.

This was because these governors generally respected the religious feelings of the Jews and gave wide latitude to Jewish practices and scruples. We know, for example, that they removed the image of the Emperor from the standards of Roman soldiers before marching them into Jerusalem, so as to avoid the appearance of a cultus of the Caesars (Alfred Edersheim, The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah, vol. I, p. 242).

But all of that was far different from a Pontius Pilate who forced the hated emblem on the Jews and defied all of their most sacred feelings.

Today

This is not unlike the political scene today. A secular society continues to dominate our culture, which Christians decry. Christians tolerate, probably too much, the unconstitutional and ungodly measures in our country. But this is completely different from a Democratic leader such as Barack Obama who publicly mocks the Bible, engineers the redefinition of marriage, rubs Christian noses in the murder of the unborn, and parades to the world that we are not a Christian nation.

Added to that is the fact that in the end, not only has President Trump boldly stood for a more biblical stance in public policy, but has sought to massively de-regulate the unconstitutional super-state in which we live. A report by the Council of Economic Advisors in June, 2019 estimates that after 5-10 years of the new de-regulatory approach of the Federal Government household incomes will have been raised by $3,100 per household per year.

Casey Mulligan, the chief economist for the CEA, explained that “The deregulatory efforts of the Trump Administration have … removed mandates from employers, especially smaller businesses, and have removed burdens that would have eliminated many small bank lenders from the marketplace. These deregulatory actions are raising real incomes by increasing competition, productivity, and wages.”

In the end, however, it is not merely economic prosperity that many Christians desire. It is to secure our God-given liberties by rolling back the unconstitutional government in which we live. Donald J. Trump seems to be the only person with enough back-bone to attempt this daunting task. I suspect that the radical left realizes this fact which explains their mindless hatred and opposition.

Trump and Syria: Good Message or Bad War? – Jesse Lee Peterson calls for prayer, watchful eye on president’s influencers

by Jesse Lee Peterson

An American president finally smacked Syria for its chemical weapons violations. Was it correct? Very few people know exactly what’s going on there. I don’t pretend to be one of them.

But this much is clear: Barack Obama failed to deal with Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad and his chemical weapons. For eight years we heard talk, but no action. Obama’s weakness and indecisiveness allowed evil to grow in Syria and around the globe.

In January, Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser, had the gall to go on NPR touting the success of their Syria policy. Rice claimed all the chemical weapons in Syria had been removed. We now know that’s false. Rice misled the American people then just as she repeatedly lied about Benghazi and about the surveillance of Donald Trump and his top advisers.

With a precise and decisive strike, President Trump delivered a loud and clear message to Bashar al-Assad via 59 Tomahawk missiles: America is back, and we won’t sit on the sidelines while dictators run roughshod over international laws and slaughter innocents.

This message went far beyond Syria, to Russia, its sponsor (and to Iran, who is allied with both). The message was also sent to China, whose president, Xi Jinping, was meeting with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago at the time of the strike, and by extension, China’s client North Korea, whose despot leader has been threatening the U.S. and South Korea with intercontinental ballistic missiles.

This is all positive, and it’s great that we have a serious and decisive man as president – thank God! But what concerns some of his most ardent supporters is where this may be going. Was this strike a message-delivering “one off,” or does Trump intend to force regime change?

Interestingly, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Hillary Clinton are speaking in unison, calling for more bombings against Syria. CNN and other left-wing media outlets are also beating the war drums. When I see RINOs, left-wing Democrats, and the mainstream media praising Trump and getting all-hawkish, it’s reason to pause.

At a meeting of the U.N. Security Council, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley blasted the Russians for being complicit in allowing Assad to maintain and use chemical weapons against his own people. She said the U.S. is prepared to do more in Syria. She also told CNN’s Jake Tapper, “There’s not any sort of option where a political solution is going to happen with Assad at the head of the regime.”

Order Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson’s book, “The Antidote: Healing America from the Poison of Hate, Blame, and Victimhood.”

Is Haley talking about ousting Assad with military force? This is what makes many conservatives nervous. Some on the right see President Trump’s actions in Syria as a departure and a distraction from his bold “America First” domestic agenda. They fear America will once again be dragged into a war where our national security interests aren’t clear, and we will waste blood and treasure to set up a democracy in a nation that doesn’t have the civil society in place to hold on to it.

Removing the Syrian dictator would create a vacuum just like Trump railed against in Iraq. The vacuum created by the U.S. taking out Saddam Hussein has led ultimately to the rise of ISIS. The same could happen in Syria with the same results. I believe this is what Obama and company wanted all along. Obama encouraged and supported the “Arab Spring,” which caused refugees, mostly Muslims, to flood into Europe and, to a lesser extent, into the United States. Obama also allowed terrorists to take back Iraq, and the regime changes he engineered in Libya led to the Benghazi outrage.

We need to carefully watch the people advising President Trump. Yes, there is some fake news surrounding reports about the “shake up” within his inner circle because the press loves to create the impression that the administration is in disarray. Yet there may be a grain of truth there.

President Trump is a good, strong and wise man. He has great instincts. Even Rush Limbaugh said the following after a private meeting with him in Florida last February: “There’s no indecision about anything. He never once asked me about what I thought he ought to do. He never asked me what I think of this or that.

My impression is this man is more self-informed and decisive than anybody I’ve ever met.” This is a great compliment – especially coming from a truth-teller like Rush. Even though this should put conservatives at ease, Trump is going up against very powerful institutions and players both in the U.S. and overseas. They don’t want him to stop the decline of the U.S. and to drain the swamp; after all, the elites in Washington and the globalist power brokers have been profiting under the status quo for decades.

God answered the fervent and faithful prayers of Americans and installed Donald Trump as the leader of the free world. But that was just phase one. We need to continue in prayer, be ever vigilant of our government and be particularly watchful of those who wish to influence our president.

Blood for Blood 0 (0)

Blood for Blood- “…he had come to this country expecting to see the emergence of a prophet whose time was at hand.

by Bill Lockwood

Saturday night a Somali Islamic terrorist knifed shoppers in a Sears store in the Crossroads Center mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota before he was gunned down by an out-of-uniform police officer. Earlier the same day the Islamic man we now know as Ahmad Khan Rahami allegedly set off bombs in New York and New Jersey, injuring many. He has since been arrested. Islamic terrorism is advancing in America.

Law enforcement, however, is absolutely hamstrung to solve the rising tide of violence by Islamic terrorists in our nation. The lack begins with the initial question that reporters and politicians love to ask: “How were these men radicalized?” This is to begin the entire conversation with the ASSUMPTION that Islam is a “peaceful religion” and that somehow these Muslim terrorist have strayed from real Islam.

Muhammad, the founder of Islam, is the perfect example for those calling themselves Muslims. Yet, Muhammad’s authoritative biographer, Ibn Ishaq, made perfectly clear that conversion to Islam had little to do with religion and everything to do with violence and jihad.

For example, even in his early years in Mecca, before his hijra to Medina and the opening of warfare against all in order to force “conversion” Ishaq tells of a supposed “prophecy” given by a Jew from Syria (Ishaq, 136). The Jew had emigrated from Syria to the “land of hardship and hunger” (Arabia). When his Jewish fellows asked why he had come so far, he responded that, “…he had come to this country expecting to see the emergence of a prophet whose time was at hand. This was the town where he would migrate and he was hoping he would be sent so that he could follow him. ‘His time has come,’ he said, ‘and don’t let anyone get to him before you, O Jews; [Jewish man admonishing fellow Jews] for he will be sent to shed blood and to take captive the women and children of those who oppose him. Let not that keep you back from him.” In other words, he warned them to convert to Islam or pay with their blood.

Later, as Muhammad’s power began to accumulate, just before migrating to Medina from Mecca, he was visited by Muslims coming from Medina to Mecca to observe a “fair.” One night about seventy of the Muslims went to meet Muhammad. He recited the Koran to them and “invited” their allegiance to Islam on the “basis that you protect me as you would your own children.” The Medinans gave their word.

One of the Medinans, however, asked what about their now-severed ties with the Jews in Medina? If they assisted Muhammad with arms would he go back to Mecca? Muhammad replied, “No, blood is blood, and blood not to be paid for is blood not to be paid for” (Ishaq, 297).

Biographer Ishaq explains, “He would treat blood revenge and its obligation as common to both parties.” Islam’s invitation to “convert” is blood for blood. What is happening in America is the revealing of the real Islam. What radicalizes the behavior of Muslims is the so-called Prophet himself.

Obama Forces Muslim Colonization in America 0 (0)

Obama Forces Muslim Colonization in the U.S.A.

by Bill Lockwood

Few gauged the depths to which President Obama would go to “fundamentally transform” America. Bent on eradicating the last vestiges of western culture the president continues to press his radical agenda over top of any patriotic or Constitutional hurdle. One methodology is by means of a UN “repatriation program” by which he is colonizing Syrian refugees into American cities. The US State Department right now is on fast track to resettle up to 100,000 foreign Muslims on US soil.

Fargo, North Dakota, for example. The city registers just over 110,000 population. It is bracing right now for a major influx of mid-Eastern Muslims—refugees that the UN has slated for America. One of the organizations that facilitates this for the State Department in North Dakota is Lutheran Social Services (LSS).
Jessica Thomasson, its CEO explains that this year has seen about 10% increase in the number of refugees—most of which will need publicly funded housing, furnishings and assistance. Burdening our already unconstitutional welfare program with more dependents seems to be the goal.

As reported by Leo Hohmann (WorldNetDaily), hundreds of residents in Fargo and Cass County, North Dakota have become active and signed petitions to stop this settlement are the latest to get active.
According to Hohmann, “LSS, a subsidiary of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, one of the nine resettlement agencies or VOLAGs, has been funneling U.N.-selected refugees into Midwestern states areas like the Dakotas and Minnesota for years. Since 2002 the small cities of Fargo and West Fargo have received 3,647 refugees from more than two dozen Third World countries including 1,397 refugees from Bhutan, 670 from Somalia, 567 from Iraq, 209 from Liberia, 196 from Democratic Republic of Congo, and the balance from Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Cambodia, Chad, Columbia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Burundi, Burma and Bosnia, according to government databases.”

Not only does this ensure a different culture in North Dakota, but is potentially dangerous since our own FBI director James Comey confessed to the Homeland Security Committee of the U.S. House that it is “impossible” to screen out the “lone wolves” and operatives that already operate in the US and are being actively recruited by ISIS and other jihadist groups. But what is that to President Obama? He has already all-but-erased our southern border. Adding hundreds of thousands of “unvetted” Muslim refugees will add another potential ticking time-bomb into America. And, we know these Syrian Muslims are NOT screened because in April one of the FBI’s own counter-terrorism experts complained that “screening” was impossible when they come from “war-torn countries” such as Syria and Somalia since the American military has little presence there. Recruiting Ground for ISIS?

All of this also means that the potential pool of ISIS killers is growing right here in the states. Obama’s own DOJ federal attorney for Minnesota Andrew Luger admitted publicly in April that the recruiting of terrorists to join the ISIS jihadist army in Syria poses a significant problem in the United States amongst Muslim refugee communities.

If Americans wish to preserve any semblance of western culture with its base in Christian axioms, it is critical to stop Obama’s revamp of our nation. To this end US Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, has introduced the Resettlement Accountability National Security Act (HR 3314), which would require an “immediate suspension [of the US] refugee resettlement program, until the Government Accountability Office (GAO) completes a thorough examination of its costs on federal, state and local governments.”

The citizens of Fargo, ND will be among those who would be thankful to halt this refugee program. For, after bringing a petition of over 2,500 signatures the LSS and Jessica Thomasson to cease and desist being a conduit for this federal assault on our nation, the LSS thumbed their nose at the citizenry. They will continue to work for Obama and not the local residents.
