Bloody America: Ripe for Judgment

by Bill Lockwood

Nothing calls for the avenging judgment of God against America as clearly as do the recent revelations of barbaric infanticide and selling of baby body parts by public-funded, government-defended Planned Parenthood. Furthermore, that any public servant can be a serious contender for the President of the United States, as is Hillary Clinton, while vociferously defending the harvesting and selling of aborted human baby body parts—she recently endorsed the abortion-mill Planned Parenthood as providing “essential services”– is more of a mournful commentary on the wicked state of the American people than upon her.

Over thirty abortion clinics have partnered with StemExpress to “harvest and sell aborted baby parts and provide a ‘financial benefit’ to Planned Parenthood clinics,” writes Katie Pavlich. The initial reporting has been done by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) which has released several undercover videos exposing the practice by high-ranking Planned Parenthood officials.

Former employee of Planned Parenthood, Abby Johnson, has confessed that while she was employed there, she and her colleagues would “plainly talk about harvesting fetal parts as if we were talking about harvesting a field of corn.”

Abby Johnson worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years, even becoming a clinic director. Her conscience, however, tormented her and the breaking point came on September 26, 2009 as she witnessed an ultra-sound-guided abortion in which the 13-week baby fought for its life against the abortionist. A repentant Abby Johnson emerged and she has dedicated her efforts to exposing the human life horrors officially endorsed by the Democratic Party and tolerated by Americans.

Today, as this is written, the CMP has issued a fourth video in which undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Vice President and Medical Director, Dr. Savita Ginde, “negotiating a fetal body parts deal, agreeing multiple time to illicit pricing per body part harvested, and suggesting ways to avoid legal consequences.” The gruesome details continue in the video.

In the wake of these revelations a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has shockingly issued an unheard-of “temporary restraining order” to prevent the further release of more undercover videos by the CMP detailing similar atrocities. Government officials are more interested in covering deeds of darkness than reforming Hitlerian practices.

What Shall We Say to These Things?

The Old Testament prophets faced similar situations and remonstrated boldly against the abominations of ancient Israel. In refrains that fit America today, Ezekiel laments, “Woe to the Bloody Nation!” God then queries the prophet: “Will you judge the bloody city?” (22:1,2)

The prophet was commissioned to do the work of a prosecutor and the tone of the chapter is of a court setting against the nation of Israel and the capital city of Jerusalem. Echoing one of the seven things which “God hates”—“hands that shed innocent blood” (Prov. 6:17)—Ezekiel indicts the nation for “shedding blood” (v. 3); becoming “guilty in blood that thou hast shed” (4); having “princes” or rulers who exercise their self-serving will by “shedding blood” (6); “Slanderous men who shed blood” (9); and being paid to “shed blood”! (12)

What an apt description of America today and its elected politicians who defend the abomination called abortion. This atrocious contemporary picture of America resulted because we have “forgotten God” (Ezek. 22:12).

In reflecting the fury of God while announcing the sentence, Ezekiel is charged, “Clap your hands!” Then two rhetorical questions are put by God to Israel: “Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the day that I shall deal with you?”  God promises, “I will consume your filthiness out of you!”

It is important to note that a society that thrives on violence not only self-destructs but will also have to contend with God. He will not be forever idle. Sooner or later the cup of iniquity is full and community leaders bear special responsibility for the injustices done in society.
