Castro’s Communism

Castro’s Communism- “This is Fidel Castro. This is a communist revolution.”

by Bill Lockwood

Fidel Castro, the brutal communist dictator of Cuba, responsible for the assassinations and political imprisoning of between 70,000 to 80,000 innocents, has died at the age of 90. Liberty-lovers are celebrating, such as the residents of Little Havana in South Miami, many of whom escaped the gulag state. We are reminded of the reason for their celebration by the writer Frank de Varona (Bear Witness Central) who accurately explains that “From the very beginning of Fidel Castro’s coming to power revolutionary violence and intimidation became the order of the day.” This included “summary executions” that astounded the world.

Predictably, not all world leaders are relieved with the passing of Castro. Foremost among them is Marxist Barack Obama who stated: “At this time of Fidel Castro’s passing, we extend a hand of friendship to the Cuban people. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and the world around him.” Towing the same line, the Main Stream Media eulogizes the dictator by simply referring to Castro as the “leader” of Cuba. The affinity for Marxism needs no cover in today’s brainwashed society.

Castro

Fidel Castro was born into wealth in 1926. His father, a plantation owner, sent Fidel to the finest school in Cuba, the University at Havana. It was here, while studying social sciences, that young Castro read The Communist Manifesto and swiftly converted to the anti-god philosophy of Marxism/Communism. In a television interview in December of 1961 he boldly declared, “I am a Marxist-Leninist and will be until the day I die.”

At the age of 17, according to Fidel himself, young Castro was recruited into the hard-core communistic ranks by a Soviet NKVD agent named Bashirov, who had come to Cuba. That was 1943. Castro then traveled to Czechoslovakia to receive first-hand communistic revolutionary training. Here he was advised not to become an “official” Communist Party member as that membership might become a stumbling-block to the free world when he would be sent back to Cuba for bloody violence. Little did the Soviets realize that the official label “Communist” would not be such a black mark to the leaders of America who had already become completely sympathetic to the ideology of communism.

In 1948 Castro helped inspire the communist riots in Bogota, Columbia, even announcing publicly the following: “This is Fidel Castro. This is a communist revolution.” Later, the United States State Department official of the Caribbean Desk, William Arthur Wieland, testified that he was perfectly aware of Castro’s associations, ideology, and involvement in while in Columbia. This mattered little to our own government.

Castro later, along with his brother Raul, who later personally oversaw the ruthless executions of thousands of political dissidents in Cuba, finally conquered Havana, wresting it from the Batista regime. The date was January, 1959. This was accomplished with the assistance of Che Guevera, the Argentine Marxist who helped establish their reign of terror.

Two US Ambassadors to Cuba during Castro’s coup, Arthur Gardner and Earl Smith (1957-59) later testified before a US Senate Subcommittee that it was actually the United States government that “played a major role in brining Castro to power.” Besides publishing pro-Castro statements and memos, our government stopped assistance to the embattled Batista regime. The Eisenhower administration’s Secretary of State, John Foster Dulles for example, had undermined the Batista government by refusing to ship almost 2,000 rifles to Cuba. The United States had also persuaded other governments from around the world not to sell weapons to the Batista army.

The Media

In the end, it was primarily the Main Stream Media, the same one that promotes the notion that there is too much “fake news” on the internet, so much so that the ignorant public must have a “regulatory” board to vet information for consumption, that propped Communist Castro into power with its relentless stream of communist propaganda.

Though the facts were on the table for all to see, Edward Murrow produced a completely favorable TV special in behalf of Fidel Castro in 1959. Claiming the same thing that the State Department had said regarding Mao Tse Tung years earlier, that he is simply ‘an agrarian reformer’ who wants peace and liberty, Castro began to be catapulted to stardom.

Ed Sullivan, the host a TV variety show, endorsed young Castro to Americans with a slobbering favorable interview. Herbert Matthews of the New York Times wrote three glowing reports of Castro on the front page. Castro was hailed by Matthews as the “Abraham Lincoln” of Cuba! Matthew had earlier lionized other communist dictators around the world. William Atwood of Look magazine sang Castro’s praises, as did Dickey Chapelle in Reader’s Digest. Little wonder that Arthur Gardner and Earl Smith both credited not only our own United States government, but the press with bringing Castro to power.

The final insult to freedom came however, with John F. Kennedy’s “Bay of Pigs” debacle. When freedom fighters who had fled from the murderous Castro came to Florida, they planned an invasion back to their homeland of Cuba. The CIA actually put together the plan which promised air support to these 2,000 exiles who would land on the beaches of Cuba to retake their island home.

It was President John F. Kennedy himself who, after the freedom fighters had launched for Cuba, cancelled the air support. Kind history writers tell us it was due to the President’s “vacillation.” But the bloody massacre of these exiled fighters, composed of doctors, lawyers, and blue-collar workers, who had been promised United States support who were now on the beaches facing Castro’s seasoned revolutionary army, can only be called treasonous.

In the same treasonous spirit President Obama shakes hands with murderer Raul Castro and eulogizes his dead brother while explaining to the world that the cruel dictator Fidel Castro, will be judged by history as “a tremendous figure.” No judgment for mass murder from his lips! No condemnation for creating a communistic slave-state! No mention of treason and assassination! Just a tremendous figure. Judgments from our Marxist president are only reserved for Americans who wish to return to our lawful Constitutional system.
